Overall winner Jack Rebours and Women's winner Caitlin Conyers being presented with their trophies by the event organiser.

Our annual open event was an opportunity for visiting riders to warm up before competing in the Commonwealth Games the following week. The result was a win by one second for Jack Rebours (Caesarean CC (Jersey) from David Mead (Hinckley CRC), with Dean Robson (Velo Sport Jersey) in third place. In the Women's category Caitlin Conyers from Bermuda, riding as a guest member of Rugby RCC, was a clear winner. Conditions were warm with a slight breeze, resulting in some fast times (19:11 and 21;45 respectively), although the course records were not at risk. The event went off without mishap, with only one rider going off course, although before the start a simple fall in the car park resulted in a fractured wrist for Pamela Moore. Steven Robinson graciously gave up his ride to take her to hospital and she was back within the hour duly plastered - full marks to Rugby St Cross!
