A win for Rugby RCC making it 9-4 in this annual contest.Clearly Velo had some quick riders, but not sufficient to affect the top 6 placings. The weather was kind, but a strong wind slowed riders on the return straight mile leg. Rugby RCC had two riders who felt that they should visit the Ryton Island and were therefore classed as DNFs, as they technically went off course. It was disappointing for Lewis Jones, potentially an overall winner based on recent form, who suffered a puncture. The aggregate time set by Rugby RCC was a new record, improving on last year's record by 1m 01s..
