Results for 3rd June 2009 - Course: K11/10 Long Lawford

Our visit to this course always coincides with a 10 degree drop in temperature, but 41 riders were not discouraged and James Heaton made it it 8 wins out of 8 this season. The biggest surprise was the third place of Tim Hastie, edging out Colin Stiles and Dave Overton who usually dispute this spot behind Hywel Davies. A new bike has had the desired effect for Mike McCann, while Mike Smallwood is setting a new level in the Vet on Standard results, until now dominated by Colin Stiles and James Heaton. Out of the five private entries four were previously club members, with Sally Baker and Julie Cox having their first competitive ride for several months. Paul Peasegood went off course, despite having ridden it before. As always missing riders have to be accounted for and after some confusion the search party eventually located him at home!
