Results for 27th May 2009 - Course: K11/10T Thurlaston

Eight regular riders were attending Hywel Davies's training camp in France, leaving a field of 39 riders headed by James Heaton in a time 24 seconds faster than he recorded in the National Championship three days earlier. This new A45 course is proving popular with riders, the out-and-back route made possible by the new island at Ryton. Certainly the conditions helped, with a strong wind on the return leg and although rain threatened, the dark clouds eventually drifted away. Nine riders recorded personal bests, with the handicap won by Victoria Green who has shown a massive improvement since her first ride one month ago. Mike Smallwood, a recent new member with an impressive record in triathlons, was the best vet on age related standard time.
