Results for 20th May 2009 - Course: K10/25A Frankton/Ryton/Princethorpe

Back on the old 2-lap 25 circuit and after a showery, windy day the conditions cleared just on time to provide a sunny evening with only a light breeze. Three riders went under the hour, led by James Heaton, followed by Hywel Davies and Colin Stiles, the same order as the previous week. Tim Hastie came within 33 seconds of the hour and 5th placed Peter Wright achieved a PB, as did Kenny Robinson, Stuart Sykes and Russell Morris. There were several riders attempting their first 25 and most were pleased with their time, many inside the 1-15 mark to average 20 mph. The 2009 version of Kenny Robinson is unrecognisable from last year and he totally blitzed the handicap, with 12 riders inside the net 50 minute mark. There's always an unlucky rider and this week it was Adrian Tayles who punctured one mile after the start, although Mike Macleod experienced mechanical problems and didn't even make the start..
