Results for 29th April 2009 - Course: K11/10 Lawford

With James Heaton away due to work commitments there was no head-to-head with Hywel Davies this week, Hywel winning by almost a minute from Dave Overton in second place. It was typical Lawford course conditions for this time of year, with sunny dry weather disguising a cool head wind on the hilly Fossse Way section. A combination of the hills and the wind meant that most times were two minutes down on the previous week at Frankton, while the slower riders were even more affected, with 10 riders over the 30 minute mark. The conditions were also reflected in the handicap times, where no one managed to beat the net 20 minute target, although Paul Laurie was close with his 20-05. With 49 riders taking part the entry was slightly down on previous weeks, probably due to the course being one of the least popular. Having ridden in all five events so far this season Tim Hastie leads the points competition, while the fitter 2009 version of Kenny Robinson heads the handicap table.
