Results for 22nd April 2009 - Course: K10/10F Frankton

Excellent conditions and another full field on this fast course and the first time this season that James Heaton and Hywel Davies have gone head-to-head. This proved to be a win for James by 21 seconds, although Guest rider Alastair McChesney (Solihull CC) was one second quicker than Hywel.. In third place was Craig Sterrett, now based in Ireland, but keeping up his club membership for whenever he's back home. Probably the most impressive performance was from Ken Rushall who celebrated his 80th birthday last week and managed to record a 31-16. Not the slowest time of the night and possibly even some kind of age-related club record? It's likely that some of our senior members will have previous results stored away to confirm or otherwise performances of any previous octogenarians. Next week it's Long Lawford and the daylight permits a field of 60. However the biggest problem is parking. Limited parking is available on the green by the start, but please don't park in Lawford Heath Lane itself, or in the space by the finish (or there will be no times and no teas!). One suggestion for parking is the quiet country Lane about a mile before the finish.
