Results for 21st May 2008 - Course: K10/25A Bourton-A45

The combination of a European cup final, work commitments and holidays reduced the entry to 32 riders, so the absence of James Heaton, Craig Sterrett and Dave Overton, all winners this season, reduced the challenge to Hywel Davies who easily won his first club event of 2008 and now tops the points table. Colin Stiles was 3 minutes back in second place and Peter Wright almost 4 minutes behind. There were PBs for Keith Hirons, Tim Randell and Stuart Sykes. Mike Bloom and his fixed wheel took the handicap, while Marina also seems to be setting good times with a fixed wheel. Still working his way back to fitness Rob Tobin restricted himself to one lap. Unfortunate guest rider Matt Clinton used a shortened version of the course, but his time, scaled up for 25 miles, would have been well under 58 minutes. Apologies to Stuart Sykes who was left out of the handicap results initially, and apologies to almost everyone else who now has one point less than they thought they had.
