Results for 13th June 2007 - Course: K10/10 Princethorpe
It's very rare to have perfect conditions for fast times, but a damp atmosphere and almost no wind, combined with a fast course proved the ideal combination to produce 13 PBs out of 28 club riders - possibly a record in itself? Just to reinforce this Hywel Davies produced a time of 20-32 to record his 12th win of the season and his own fastest time for a club 10, while the surprise of the evening was James Heaton's third place, ahead of Craig Sterrett and Dave Overton. At the finish several riders came to inspect the results sheet, confident that their time would give them a win in the handicap, only to find that several others had made a similar improvement. With Brendan Meghen making a rare appearance together with new member 18 year old Nathan Eyre, we've had 51 club members competing so far this season, so at least 20 riders will regret they missed a chance to update their own records!
