Results for 11th April 2007 - Course: K11/10 Long Lawford
Even the riders agreed that conditions were perfect - not often we can say that so early in the season - and the fastest guys obliged with some exceptional times on this normally slow course. We've lost count of the number of riders when riding this course for the first time miss the Lawford Heath turn off the A45, so it was David Baxter's misfortune on this occasion, realising too late that Bilton did not figure in the course description. Rob Tobin won this event a year ago, but this season gets no better for him, having to make adjustments as his wheel pulled over at the start. Colin Stiles bounced back to take second place to Hywel Davies, while Rachel Lloyd is making good progress after her year out. The handicap is always unpredictable so early in the season, with several new members and other riders tactically saving their best for later.
