Results for 6th September 2006
Perfect conditions and some fast times was a good way to end the season, with Hywel Davies producing an impressive 11 minutes (it was actually 11-00.32), just 12 seconds short of his own record for our 5-mile circuit set 3 years ago. There were also sub-12 minute times from Peter Wright, Rob Tobin, Craig Sterrett and Steve Rose (Rugby Velo), but the expected challenge from Craig Middleton never materialised as he went off course, accounting for the rather blue atmosphere around Willoughby. The winners in the points and handicap series have been known for a couple of weeks, but Peter Wright's excellent ride produced a late surge as the 18 ride rule affected his rivals (see Points Table).
