Results for 9th August 2006
It's not often we can report that Hywel Davies does not win a club time trial, but this time it was Rob Tobin who was on form to win by 6 seconds. Cool conditions and a headwind on the outward leg made it tough for our 30 competitors, with only Craig Sterrett achieving a PB. Ian Usher, beginning to regain some form after a long lay-off, ran away with the handicap, although good performances by Julie Cox and Mike McGillion deserved better. We're now reaching the point where lots of riders will clock up 18 or more rides, so both the scratch and handicap competitions will get interesting as the worst points are dropped.
