Results for 2nd August 2006

A sudden change in the weather may have discouraged a few, but 17 riders still braved both the elements and our hilly 13.6 mile course at Napton. Hywel Davies ploughed round to win by a clear two minutes from Rob Tobin, while Colin Stiles was close behind in third to recover well after one or two slippery moments on the wet roads. Unluckiest rider was Amanda Woodford, unfamiliar with the course, who got lost in Priors Marston but recovered to complete the full distance. With many riders on or approaching the 18 rides for the season the next few weeks will see some having to drop points as only their best 18 will count, leading to some tight situations in the points tables.
