Results for 28th June 2006 - Course: K11/7.25 x 2 Grandborough Fields

What a contrast to 5 weeks ago on this course when conditions were so bad that the event was reduced to one lap. Riders will never agree that conditions are perfect, but this was a good as it gets. Amazingly, Hywel Davies's first lap time of 16-12 took half a minute off his record 16.45 set in those atrocious conditions, so once again he's blitzed the single lap record for this course. Rob Tobin seems to be regaining his form, edging Colin Stiles into 3rd place by 12 seconds. This time Mike MacLeod did just the 2 laps, refusing to believe it was a 3-lap event. We've given Mike a lot of stick over his (in)voluntary extra lap last April, so now perhaps it's time to call a truce! Michael Walsh continues to improve, topping the handicap list.
