Results for 7th June 2006 - Course: K11/10 Long Lawford
Excellent conditions brought 34 riders under starters orders at Long Lawford, our biggest entry so far this season. As always this hilly course adds at least a minute to most riders' times, so Hywel's time was particularly impressive and only 20 secs outside Scott Rose's two year old course record. It was the first ride of the season for John Hemmings and Ian Usher (and it showed), while for John Clarke it was his first competitive ride since his accident in the 4-hr in 2004. Massive improvements over previous times promoted six riders to the top of the handicap results, but the system will catch up with them in due course! Congratulations to Karen Roberts who has been travelling from Stratford to ride our events and she finally managed to break the 30 minute barrier on this course. Unlucky Marina Bloom collected her 2nd puncture in three weeks.
