Results for 29th March 2006 - Course: K11/5 Willoughby

A good turnout for the first event of the season. The club welcomed new members Craig Sterrett, Gary Humphries, Phil Scott and Dave Pettiffor. It was a narrow win for Colin Stiles, although the fastest time of the evening was by Rugby Velo's Phil Clark. The first event always sees a few new machines, combined with some secret training, and invariably there's a few surprises, so congratulations to Gary Craig who won the handicap from 6 riders who all managed a sub-10 minute net time. With no real form to go on the new member were all given a 2m 30s handicap, to make sure they were included in the competition without being winners or losers. Unfortunately Dave Pettiffor missed his turn at Sawbridge, only to finish up at Flecknoe, while Craig Middleton made an extra turn in Grandborough so as to give everyone else a chance.
