A clear win for Oliver Billing on a night when several riders withdrew as the weather threatened to live up to its reputaion for this particular postcode. Fortunately the rain virtually stopped around 6.30 and the event was back on, so the riders that took part had the consolation of picking up some good points. Something that's not supposed to happen is that the winner of the scratch also is first on handicap, but such was Oliver's performance that he went away with maximum points in both competitions.
