Another evening with near perfect conditions on this popular course, with 3 of the 36 riders recording sub-21 minute times. Fastest was Dave Kiernan, closely followed by private entry James Garrett (Rugby Velo) and Greg Brookes. Andy Craig was the fastest first claim member, while Olliver Billing and Brendan Hirst added an extra loop into their course by going down to the Ryton island - there's always one, this time two! There was a mix up with a couple of late number riders whose numbers were furled and didn't call their number at the finish, later resolved by reference to their own electronic devices. Strange, however, that these devices often record faster times than our stopwatches!
