Results for 24th April 2019 - Course: K11/10 Lawford

The 'sporting' nature of this course adds 5-10 % to most riders times, as the handicap times indicate, so all the more impressive that private entry George Goodwin, a local triathlete, clocked the fastest time of the evening with a 22-15. Oliver Billing topped the table of the club riders with a 23-25, over a minute behind the winner, but also a clear minute ahead of Peter Busby. After rain had threatened the evening calmed and even the sun shone. The handicap was won by Claire Walker who has rejoined this season and her continued improvement resulted in her being the only rider with a sub-20 net handicap time.

We need to issue our gentle reminder requesting riders to shout their numbers at the finish, especially as several had their numbers furled or covered by clothing. We also appreciate that the Lawford course has an uphill finish and shouting is a technical impossibility!
