Results for 9th May 2018 - Course: K3/10N Lower Shuckburgh (reduced)

Roadworks on the main A425 at Napton meant we could not use the full course, so and out-and-back section of the original course was used, starting just beyond the roadworks. Not an ideal situation, but at least it provided a competitive event, rather than a cancellation. Most riders agreed on a distance of 5.9 miles, although some estimates do little to recommend Garmin technology unless their owners had set them to km. Despite a pessimistic forecast the conditions were fine, with litle wind, so it was disappointing that only 22 riders took part. Fastest time was set by Tim Hastie riding as a private entry, with Dave Elliot topping the list of club members, again on his road bike. Despite the reduced distance a credible set of handicaps was applied, with the improving Ben Leugs heading the list.
