Results for 5th April 2017 - Course: K11/10 Lawford

A chaotic event as a lorry was unable to pass under the Church Lawford railway bridge and proceeded to turn around. Some riders in the middle order found their route totally blocked and decided to call it a day, others managed to squeeze by. The result was 7 DNFs, but nevertheless 33 riders managed to complete the course. There were many new members entering their first time trial - sadly not a good introduction. The event was won by Craig McKee, while the vastly improved Ellis Pullinger topped the handicap table. The three age cats were won by Phil Scott, Richard Bray and Tony Johnson. It was a chilly evening with a strong wind, with all times affected, even for those who had a trouble-free run. The message to all our riders is that it does get better and next week we visit our popular Thurlaston course and good weather has been ordered.
