Event cancelled due to standing water

After a day of intermittent showers many riders had dropped out before the event and it was decided by the majority of those that did arrive that it was not worth the risk. Although there was sunshine by 7.30 the problem was standing water on the A45 affecting visibility. This was confirmed by late arrival Peter Wright who had ridden along the A45, with spray making it difficult to see and be seen. Everyone who paid on the night will have their entry fees carried forward to the next event.
