Results for 13th August 2014 - Course: K11/10W Fosse Way - Wolston

It was a win for David Newton, his second of the season, there being five riders to have won so far this year. This is an acknowledged fast course, being a version of our open course, but with a dodgy corner just before the finish. Most impressive ride of the evening came from Simon Bayliss who took second place by lowering his PB to 22-00 (ok, it was 22-00.09 on the watch, but we'll give him that). For once the late numbers did not benefit from the conditions, as a heavy shower around midpoint meant the first 23 starters all beat their 20 minute handicap, whereas only 5 managed this from the remaining 19. The handicap is also a good indicator of those who have just returned from holiday! With Jason Baggett now topping the handicap points table it's likely that any one from three could eventually win this competition.
