Results for TT1407

Our event was brought to a swift conclusion when an accident involving Carl Swan and a car resulted in the road being blocked and all riders who had not passed that point having to abandon. Carl was taken by ambulance to hospital. He was conscious throughout and appeared to have arm and shoulder inuries. His bike had a broken carbon downtube. Fortunately we had two marshals on the Southam bypass and Tracey Price was first on the scene. The incident vindicated the club's decision to deploy marshals in club events this season, although no marshals would have prevented Carl's accident. Carl joined the club last season and rode in 6 events and this was his 4th event this season.

Below are riders' times, in start order, although it is anticipated that the committee will declare the event null and void in terms of points etc. Further news will be posted when more is known.
