Report for 29th August 2012 - Course: K10/7F Blue Boar
After another wet day the sun came out and riders enjoyed pleasant conditions. Since our early season event on this course was cancelled this was the first occasion we had used this course - effectively the K10/10F without the straight-mile sections. With Tim Hastie and Emily Whitmore choosing to practice their 2-up skills it was an expected win for Dave Kiernan, although the next three riders were not far behind. There were two hard luck stories - the first was Jonathan Jordan who was forced off when a passing lorry needed too much road, while Peter Wright had a lapse of concentration and decided to include the Ryton roundabout on his route. Making allowance for the extra distance his corrected time would have been 16-12, good enough for 7th place.
