Results for 11th July 2012 - Course: K11/10B - Braunston

Another win for Tim Hastie, but once again the weather played its part with torrential rain falling just 15 minutes after the start. Despite the downpour at Daventry and Braunston riders found dry conditions when making the turn at the Dunchurch island, only to re-enter the heavy rain on the return leg. The sudden change of conditions at the start had the effect of reducing the original entry of 51 riders to 41. Most riders' times were down on predictions and it was one of those events best forgotten, especially for Richard Bray who was forced to retire when the conditions brought on a severe asthma attack. The handicap was won by Lewis Jones, just ahead of Colette Marshall and Jamie Mckenzie.
