Results for 23rd May 2012 - Course: K11/10T Thurlaston

In complete contrast to recent weeks conditions were excellent, with temperatures in the mid-20s and little wind. It proved to be a narrow win for Dave Kiernan from David Lane and Tim Hastie. The fast Thurlaston course lived up to it reputation and the conditions helped towards a quarter of the entry achieving sub-23 minutes times and two thirds beating the 20 minute handicap standard, always a good indicator. Standout performance of the evening was 16 year old Luke Markham who blitzed his PB to record 21-36. Only two riders failed to finish, Jamie McKenzie feeling unwell and Kate Vanloo who went off course. With a depleted support team riders stepped in to do the pushing-off, particularly Dave Kiernan and Colin Stiles who had only come to watch!
