Results for 16th May 2012 - Course: K10/25A - Frankton

A win for Tim Hastie, but it was a close run thing with Dave Kiernan only 6 seconds behind and the top 6 riders under the hour. Guest rider Matt Clinton clocked 59-04 using his road bike. Eliot Blundell has made real progress this season, managing to finish ahead of Craig McKee and David Newton. A few riders had not realised the start was at 6.45, leading to some panic stations at the start. Being the first 25 of the season the handicap results were well spread, with most handicaps based on last season's times or in some cases extrapolated 10 mile times when riders had yet to ride the longer distance. Predictably the new VTTA standards proved a tough target, with only 11 of the 21 vets taking part registering a positive vet on standard.

Since posting the results it's been found that the last 4 riders were held for an additional minute at the start, following a gap in the running order. The times of Chris Parsons, Dave Pettifor, Barry Burrows and Ray Dyke have been amended accordingly. The points table has also been amended. The leading positions are unaffected.
