Results for 9th May 2012 - Course: K3/13.6 - Napton

Another event held in unfavourable conditions saw a win for David Newton on the Napton 'Hilly' course, although the intermittent rain was not as hard as the forecasters had predicted. However the weathermen had succeeded in cutting the entry from 36 who had pre-booked down to 21 club riders on the start line. As always the power-to-weight ratio is all important and the bigger guys were less prominent, enabling the Kenworthy father & son duo to move up the order, with 15 year old Ryan breaking the 40 minute barrier. There were some notable absentees, with Tim Hastie and Craig McKee assisting at the start. With two events to Napton scheduled this season this visit was probably too early, with poor conditions and fading light it was just as well there were not 50 riders taking part.
