Results of Club Hill Climb - 16th October 2011 - Course: KH35 Newnham

As ever, the club hill climb always throws up some surprises, with hill-climbing ability quite different to time trialling. This year's clear winner was Matt Jones, who only joined the club in September, and could surprise a few people next season. There was an excellent turnout, with 26 riders on this sunny, crisp morning. In this event we use decimal places to sort out the order, with 10 seconds covering the first 6 places. The best private entry and in 2nd place overall was 15 year old George Goodwin. For those that like stats the hill is 900m long (0.558 miles), elevation 59.7m (195.9 ft), average gradient 6.6% (1 in 15), max gradient 15% (1 in 6.7).
