Results for 27th July 2011 - Course: K3/13.6 - Napton

Excellent conditions saw a win for Hywel Davies on our annual visit to the 'Hilly' course at Napton. The course record of 32-03 was not threatened, but Hywel was recovering from an Iron-Man event at the weekend. The course is one of the hardest in the area, with its 700 yard 1 in 7 (14%) climb out of Priors Marston. It was also a return to form for second placed Craig McKee, finishing ahead of 6 riders in the 35 minute bracket. Greg Ashley, having just joined the club as a second claim member, finished in equal seventh place, while 14-year old Sian Rainsley took the handicap by over a minute. Former club champion Roland Elsdon, on holiday from Australia, made a guest appearance and showed he was still competitive despite no recent time trial experience.
