Results for 25th May 2011 - Course: K11/10T Thurlaston

This was our first visit of the season to the normally fast Thurlaston course, but a strong side wind took the edge of most riders' times. All 52 riders finished without incident, although Phil Gatley's inner-tube burst just as the watches started, but a rapid formula one style change, ably assisted by Marina Bloom, enabled him to take his place at no.4. It was an outstanding ride by Rugby Velo's Richard Bray, making a comeback after a year out following a serious accident. Phil Byrne headed the handicap list, although Adrian Wyatt has maintained his early season form to stay at the head of the handicap points table.
