Results for 13th April 2011 - Course: K10/10 Princethorpe

Wintry conditions with a cold wind slowed riders on the A423 right to the finish. The winner was Hywel Davies on his return to club membership, just as Craig McKee was about to claim his first win. There were also good rides from Tim Hastie and from Adrian Wyatt, who has stepped up a level in fitness and scooped the handicap for the third week in a row. There were three non-finishers, Mike MacLeod with a broken saddle bolt, while David Baxter and Chris Parsons both went off course taking in the loop around the old Peugeot works. All riders' times were affected by the conditions, with all but three riders above the target 20-minute net handicap. Next week sees a return to this course, many riders' favourite, so perhaps we can hope for some spring-like weather. A slightly later start at 6.45 should make things easier for everyone.
