Results for 8th September 2010 - Course: K11/5B Willoughby

Excellent conditions for our last evening event of the season. This was the second time we've used our new 5-mile course - a straight out-and-back on the A45 - replacing our traditional course around the country lanes, although the location of the start and finish was criticised by some riders. After missing a couple of events Russell Morris returned to win by 3 seconds from David Newton, with Tim Hastie returning to form only 2 seconds behind. The shorter distance tends to attract new riders and three private entries, Staurt Davey, Andy Smith and Elliot Ewington were riding their first event. The points tables had already revealed their respective winners, but just to reinforce the result both Russell Morris and Matt Plant headed the scratch and handicap on the night. There are just the 4-Hour and the Hillclimb events to come, but these will not count in the points tables.
