Results for 18th August 2010 - Course: K10/10F - Frankton

Another convincing win for Russell Morris from Peter Wright, with Eliot Blundell continuing his late season surge to edge Tim Hastie out of 3rd place. This is generally thought to be one of our fastest local courses, but wind assistance on the outward leg faded, so only the early numbers gained from it and most riders' times fell short of their expectations. The fact that 8 of the fastest riders had represented the club in two 4-up teams in an event the previous evening would have influenced their times. The handicap was won by new member Mark Carver who took a full minute of the time he recorded last week. Much of the interest lay with the 10 private entries, with Matt Clinton recording the fastest time of the evening and 13 year old Sian Rainsley, a young triathlete from Coventry, managed 30-58 in her first time trial. In the club points competition Russell Morris cannot be caught, but in the handicap Matt Plant is still under challenge from Andy Ure and Patrick Weir.
