Results for 14th July 2010 - Course: K11/10B - Braunston

Never believe a weather forecast is the lesson taken away from this event after virtually every rider got a soaking at some stage. Worst affected were the early numbers who claimed this was the heaviest rain they had ever ridden in, but the sunshine and showers persisted throughout the evening. Surprisingly the rain did not affect the times as much as riders expected and Russell Morris, starting at no.35, easily won the event and equalled his PB of 21-54. Mike Smallwood and Tracy Price had late starts, but as this is not an open we've been kind to them and their times have been adjusted. This was the first time we had used our new meeting point, behind the Volvo Training Centre, having been booted out of the Boathouse last time, but it did mean an extra ride up the hill for many.
