Results for 2nd June 2010 - Course: K11/10 - Lawford

Lawford time trials are generally cold and windy, so it was a pleasant change to have warm sunny weather with almost no wind. However, the course is still one of the slowest we encounter and least popular, so an entry of 41 was better than expected, particularly factoring-in half-term etc. With James Heaton and Peter Wright away it looked like a straight contest between Tim Hastie and Russell Morris, but Russell punctured by hitting one of the many potholes which now litter Lawford Heath Lane. This left Tim a clear winner, although he admitted he was disappointed to "win by default". The win lifts Tim to the top of the points table, while Matt Plant still heads the handicap on points as his performances continue to improve.
